Poinsettia Community Park

Fuscoe worked closely with the City of Carlsbad and the landscape architect to ensure that the new park improvements complement and blend seamlessly with existing park facilities.

The 42-acre project included the addition of a multi-use sports arena, playgrounds, pickleball courts and a dog park element. Permeable surfacing was utilized to reduce the requirements for stormwater BMPs. In addition, biofiltration basins were integrated into the park’s landscape design. Project tasks included field survey work to supplement the topographic data and delivery of a 20-scale digital base map. The team’s engineering tasks included converting the concept Master Plan to schematic design, as well as providing design development and construction documents through final plan check.
