Senior Housing from the Ground Up
Accurate civil engineering – a site’s foundational design from the ground up – is crucial for the success of every development. Each project has a story to tell and challenges to solve, and the new Westmont of Cypress Senior Community faced a unique drainage issue. The City’s storm drains were at capacity, so Fuscoe’s design incorporated 5.8 ac-ft stormwater storage units under its parking lot to retain and treat water onsite and slowly discharge it into these drains. The storage units were sized to handle peak flows and 100-year storm events for not only Westmont of Cypress, but also the adjacent 28-acre senior residential project.
