Marina Park, a hidden gem in Newport Beach, features a community sailing center, Girl Scout Leadership Center and a five-acre landscaped park.

The Fuscoe team provided engineering design, including street widening plans, as well as both topographic and hydrographic surveys for the site. Design objectives included an emphasis on water quality and minimization of impacts to the aquatic environment. The Fuscoe team developed a very green LID solution; we designed the entire site to filter water runoff naturally into the sand, thereby bypassing the City’s existing shallow storm drain system. This project also required intensive California Coastal Commission coordination and approval.
